Obituary For Kenneth K. Warner

Kenneth Kirk Warner, 70, died at his home in rural Jefferson Davis County. Services for Mr. Warner were held on Saturday November 10, 2021 Lucas Holiness Cemetery with Pastor Rufus Fields officiating. Interment was in the Lucas Holiness Cemetery with Laird Mortuary in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Warner was the son of Tyree and Linnie Warner of rural Jefferson Davis County. Mr. Warner was a life long member of Lucas Tabernacle Church of Christ Holiness (U.S.A.). Mr. Warner attended school in Prentiss, Mississippi and graduated from J. E. Johnson High School. After graduating, Mr. Warner attended Jackson State University, majoring in Art Education.

Mr. Warner owned a paint and body shop, drove an 18-wheeler, removed asbestos, and demolished buildings in Jackson until retirement. Hunting and horses were Mr. Warner’s and he traveled extensively to hunt and show horses. Mr. Warner was a member in the Lucas and Shady Grove Hunting Club, where his membership will always be remembered.

Mr. Warner married his college love, Gladys Warner and to this union two children were added, David Tyree and Daniel Nelson.

Mr. Warner’s survivors include his wife of 48 years, Gladys N. Warner; David (Candice) of Prentiss, Daniel of Hattiesburg, Keith of Oklahoma, and Johnny of Prentiss; eight grandchildren, Daija, Dre’lin, Daylin, Dakota, Daighan, Kiara, Johnny and Jordon; siblings Larry (Ava), Jean Daltree, Katrina, Kyseta, and Randy; one aunt, Vera Daniels; one special daughter Peulora Easterling, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends;

Grave site services for Mr. Kenneth Warner will be held on Saturday November 13, 2021 beginning at 1pm. Services will be held at the Lucas Church Of Christ Holiness USA Church Cemetery

Visitation services for Mr. Kenneth Warner will be from 1pm-8pm at Laird Mortuary Chapel.
