OBITUARY: Mr. Herman CollinsMr. Herman Collins, 82, died on Friday March 11, 2022 at his residence in rural Lawrence County, MS. Grave site services for Mr. Collins were held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at Friendship M. B. Church Cemetery, Monticello. with Pastor Kevin Langston officiating. Laird Mortuary was in charge of all arrangements.Mr. Collins became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Mr. Collins worked offshore, pipeline, hauled logs and worked for the County for many years. Mr. Collins married the love of his life, Frances Mae Johnson on March 3, 1969 and three children were added to the union Jennifer (Derrick) Billings, Snellville GA, Jeffery Collins and Timmy Collins of Monticello. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by is parents, a brother and a son.Mr. Collins is survived by his loving wife, Frances Collins, three sons, three daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Grave site services for Mr. Herman Collins are scheduled for Saturday March 19, 2022, at Friendship M. B. Church in Monticello, MS, starting at 11am.Visitation services for Mr. Herman Collins will be Friday March 18, 2022 from 5-7pm at Laird Mortuary Chapel.
