Obituary For Dave E. Fairley

Mr. Dave E. Fairley, 66, died Wednesday July 6, 2022 at University Medical Center, in New Orleans, LA. Services for Mr. Fairley were held on Thursday July 14, 2022 at the Rocky Valley Church in Collins, with Elder Alexander Booth officiating. Interment was in the Rocky Valley Church Cemetery, with Laird Mortuary in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Fairley was born July 14, 1955 to the late JC and Almedia Fairley in Shaw Mississippi. Mr. Fairley grew up in church and could often be found singing with his family at various programs at his home church and other churches.

Mr. Fairley attended Carver High School in Collins, where he made many lifelong friends. Mr. Fairley gained his work ethic by working closely with his father, before starting his own cement contracting business in Dallas, TX. Mr. Fairley made his home in New Orleans, LA.

Mr. Fairley loved his family, especially his grand kids. Mr. Fairley had a great sense of humor and was known for his “corny” jokes.

Mr. Fairley was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Almedia Fairley, Step-mother, Rebecca Fairley, wife Darlene Fairley, siblings, Murphy Fairley, Jimmie Fairley, Doris Stewart, Fannie Richards, Annie Keys, John L. Fairley and Johnny C. Fairley.

Mr. Fairley’s survivors include his Children, Jennifer K. Fairley, Jackson, Dave M. (Nethdra) Fairley, Memphis, TN, Ronald (Shanell) Washington, New Orleans, LA, Broderick (Eneditra) Robinson of Houston, TX, Danielle (Romaliz) Sanders Mayo, New Orleans, and Davieione E. Fairley, New Orleans, LA; grandchildren Dave Fairley Jr.. Jakyre N. Warner, Kameryn Washington, Jace I. Fairley, Ethan Fairley, Genesis Bradstreet, Layla Fairley, Romaliz Mayo Jr., Quinton Polk, Tyi Anna Gibbs, Sydnie Robinson and Hazle’ Robinson; siblings Jearleain (Jerry) Magee, Annette (Herman) Keys Jenex Fairley and step-sister Brenda Raymond, all of Collins, adopted brother and sister, Thomas Fairley of Las Vegas, NV and Katina (Tivon) Hawthorne of Bassfield, ; best friend, Daphne Leggett, close friend Lee Johnson, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Dave E. Fairley will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 beginning at 2 pm at Rocky Valley Baptist Church, Collins, MS.

Viewing will be from 12 to 2pm at Rocky Valley Baptist Church, Collins, MS.
